Woodford

The village of Woodford (mentioned in the Domesday Book) on the banks of the River Nene is approximately three miles west of Thrapston. The village is now largely a dormitory settlement with no major industries in the village. In the past there were factories serving both the clothing and shoe trades.

The village does however, boast a Parish Church, Baptist Chapel, Village school, Post Office / General Store, three Public Houses, Working Mens Club, Fish and Chip shop and doctor's surgery. There is a wide range of properties ranging from two bedroom terraced properties to 4/5 executive type homes. There is also sheltered accommodation for Senior Citizens.
