Cotterstock
Our village is called Cotterstock. It is a lovely, quiet and peaceful village, with a village hall, St Andrews Church, the River Nene and lots of friendly people! In the hall, villagers hold kids parties, quiz nights, BBQ nights, New Year parties, evening classes and the rest…
These webpages will introduce you to Cotterstock by taking you through its history, interesting facts, the River Nene, village life, tragic accidents and will also discuss the protection of our village. Cotterstock is situated near the banks of the River Nene. Cotterstock Hall dates from the 17th century and has associations with the poet and playwright, John Dryden, who was born in the village of Aldwincle, just the other side of Oundle. Also of interest is the Old Mill which was built during the early 19th century.
